The wonderful world of scarves
While Malaysian weather isn't very friendly towards neck scarves, head scarves still offer a wide range of looks and styles to play with. Whether one is into modest fashion or otherwise, headscarves offer another avenue of self-expression. Plus, they give our hair a break from the fierce heat of the tropical sun.
There are endless different prints, colors, and textures to experiment with. Larger scarves are great for bolder silhouettes that focus on volume or distinctive shapes. Scarves made from soft fabrics like chiffon or silk tend to result in styles that are more flowy and subtle.
For even more variety, accessories like headbands, clips, and brooches add visual interest while helping to hold the scarf more securely. You can go subtle, like the beaded headband above, or break out the bling like the statement necklace Nurul is sporting below. She's got a few more nifty tricks for accessorizing headscarves, too.
So, how about it? Feel like giving it a go? I know I will...but first, I'll be revamping my scarf collection at Red Revenge's Setia City outlet. Their new Weekday Special cuts 50% off all scarves! Definitely a deal I won't want to miss.
Until next time, my fab fashionistas, keep killin' it! ~xoxo
